Here it is: Lovely, so beautiful - just gorgeous! … Expressing it with the words of the local people. Just after my arrival I started with a really intensive weekend, sightseeing in Christchurch on Friday, shopping and a walk on the beach on Saturday, a train ride traversing the Southern Alps on Sunday and a boat trip with dolphin watching on Monday. After all this troubles the week in the language school was nearly restorative (but really interesting). So I was motivated for the next weekend but the weather crossed my planes and climbing was not possible. Instead we went to Hanmer Spings to relax in the hot pools, which turned out to be a nice thing either ?
The following weekend finally we went for bouldering in Castle Hill, a dream for every climber. The impressive blocks are laying around everywhere and you don’t even know where to start to climb. What you know for sure is that here you should stay for a longer time!
I passed one last week at school and then I went to visit Lake Tekapo and Mount Cook. This highest mountain of New Zealand and Australia greeted me with a beautiful autumn weather and it was just spectacular to walk around it.
After this I went north, passing Kaikora, to do one day of kayaking in the Able Tasman National Park, an unforgettable event. With the ferry I went on from Picton to Wellington, which is situated on the North Island and by bus I travelled further to Rotorua to watch the hot spings, mud pools and geysers. Two last days in Auckland, the city of sails, build on 40 vulcanous and then I already had to go back home. But this trip, the places I saw and the people I met and the experiences I made will stay forever in my memory and in my heart.
